Release Information

Below is information for the Japanese editions, published by Ichijinsha (formerly Issaisha). In their own, specially marked sections is information about the English and French editions, published by Tokyopop and Soleil Manga respectively.

Released in July 2002. The special edition booklet has some sketches, a guest illustration by Kazuya Minekura (Saiyuki, Wild Adapter), and a short story about Soubi cooking for Yuiko and Ritsuka.


Volume 2

Released on December 26, 2002. The special edition booklet has several one-page silly stories, a text-only story told from Soubi's point of view about how he tried to meet Ritsuka, some illustrations, and a short story about Ritsuka losing a phone charm that Yuiko made.

Released on June 25, 2003. The special edition comes with two postcards, and the booklet has a Q&A with Soubi and Ritsuka, a short silly "alternate universe" story about Ritsuka scheming to get Soubi's tail and ears, and a story about Ritsuka observing Soubi while he sleeps.

Volume 5

Released on March 15, 2005. The special edition booklet has several colour illustrations, six black-and-white illustrations, and a short story that appears to be set in some "alternate universe" about Ritsuka's birthday.

Released on December 24, 2005. The special edition booklet has a special shiny cover, guest illustrations from several contributors (including Miwa Shirow of DOGS), a crossover image with Soubi and Badou of Shirow's DOGS, an illustration by Kouga of Ritsuka and Soubi dressed as Saya and Haji from Blood+, and a short story about a dinner party at Soubi's.

Not long after, Zero-Sum had an issue that came with a special dust jacket for volume 6, featuring completely new illustrations. Click to see: front, back, flap.


Volume 7

Released on November 25, 2006. The special edition booklet features a story about Seimei and Ritsuka taking a bath, and Seimei's recollection of what he said to Soubi earlier. Also included are a few photos of Kouga's memo board.

Just like when volume 6 came out, Zero-Sum had another issue that came with a special dust jacket for volume 7, featuring completely new illustrations. Click to see: front, back, flap.
